What image formats can I upload?

Any common image format works, including PNG, JPG, and WebP.

Can I upload my own custom border instead of the built-in styles?

Yes, click the "Custom" tile in the border style picker to upload your own border artwork. A PNG with a transparent center works best so your portrait shows through.

Is the exported token background transparent?

Yes. Everything outside the circular seal is exported as transparent, so the token drops cleanly onto any map or background.

Can I use this for Warhammer 40k miniatures too?

Yes — Token Forge works for any tabletop system. Upload a photo of a model or any artwork and forge a token for it.

Do you store or upload my images anywhere?

No. Everything happens locally in your browser — your image never leaves your device.

What resolution should I export at?

512×512px is a solid default for most virtual tabletops. Choose 1024px or 2048px if you plan to zoom in closely or print the token.
