Rollforge started the way a lot of tabletop tools do: with one specific problem. I needed a quick way to turn a character portrait into a clean, circular token for a virtual tabletop, and the existing options were either paid, clunky, or scattered across a dozen different sites each doing one small thing. Token Forge was the first tool built to fix that — and it turned out to be the start of something bigger.
From there, the same pattern kept repeating: needing a dice roller that didn't feel like an ad farm, needing an NPC on the spot mid-session, needing a treasure haul that didn't take ten minutes to look up. Rather than bouncing between a dozen different sites for a dozen different needs, Rollforge grew into one place with all of them — and, where it made sense, tools that actually work together instead of sitting in isolation.
Most free tabletop tool sites are single-purpose and disconnected — a dice roller here, a name generator there, built by different people with no relationship to each other. Rollforge is built the opposite way: Encounter Forge pulls from the same logic as NPC Forge, Quest Forge, and Loot Forge to build one connected scene instead of four unrelated results. A map from Dungeon Forge can be dropped straight into Grid Forge to add tokens on top. The tools are designed to be used together, not just side by side.
Every tool also runs entirely in your browser. Nothing you upload — a portrait, a map, a character sheet — is ever sent to a server. There's no account to make, no email to give up, and nothing to install.
Rollforge is built for game masters and players running DnD, Warhammer 40k, Pathfinder, or really any tabletop system that needs tokens, dice, names, NPCs, loot, quests, initiative tracking, or maps. If a tool here works well for your system even though it wasn't the primary target, that's a feature, not an accident — most of the site is intentionally system-agnostic.
