Can I use a hex grid instead of squares?

Yes, toggle between square and hex grids at any time. Note that token snapping currently only works on square grids.

My map already has a printed grid — how do I line mine up with it?

Use the Offset X and Offset Y sliders to nudge the overlay until it matches the existing lines on your map art.

Can I use tokens made in Token Forge?

Yes — export a token as a PNG from Token Forge, then upload it here to place it directly on your map.
